MMTV hosted it's fourth telethon to benefit the Melrose City Emergency Fund on Sunday December 7th and set new personal fundraising records throughout the course of the night!
Joined by Mayor Rob Dolan and Mary Beth McAteer-Margolis, viewers tuned in from 7PM to 9PM to watch LIVE entertainment including live acts such as Blue of a Kind and Charlie Farren, and of course the antics of everyone's favorite late night personality T.C. Restani. With appearances by many of the cities finest public servants and community residents, the show was a tribute to the genorosity and spirit of the City of Melrose.
Contributions poured in all night and by the end of the telethon, the show had raised $9,556 to contribute to the City Emergency Fund. With matching funds from a generous donation courtesy of Ahern Painting, it pushed next day totals to well over $20,000 and set new records for the telethon program and brought in much needed funding to help citizens of Melrose going through a tough time.If you would still like to contribute in any amount, please send your donations to the Mayor's Office at City Hall in Melrose attn: City Emergency Fund.
